Covered Walkout Deck

The Challenge

The homeowners wanted to use the deck through Wisconsin's weather, not just sunny afternoons, on a wide footprint with two very different uses.

The Design Solution

We split the footprint into a covered porch section and an open entertainment area, unified by wide boards and a dark railing.

The Result

Year-round usable outdoor space with shelter for cooking and open room for gatherings — one continuous structure, two zones.
