Wooded Estate Multi-Level Deck

The Challenge

An elevated back door opened onto a sloped, wooded lot with no usable outdoor space. The homeowners wanted a finished outdoor room that felt part of the surrounding woods rather than a platform floating above them.

The Design Solution

We designed a multi-level composite deck that steps down into the yard, anchored by a built-in water feature with a stone sphere fountain on the lower landing. Black aluminum railing keeps sightlines open to the trees, and a covered lounge and dining zone sit above.

The Result

A layered outdoor living space the family uses daily — morning coffee at the bistro set, evening gatherings around the fountain — all framed by the wooded Wisconsin backyard they'd never been able to enjoy before.
